Climbing to the Top
I.- The pains of the beginning
What pain do you keep inside? To climb a top we must prepare our bodies with prior exercises to face this great effort. Well, after the first workouts we probably woke up damaged, with muscle aches and even discouraged. In that point nobody thinks to reach the top! And the pain reason is right there, in the middle between the physical and the mental features obstructing the way to the top.
Also, that is the way we feel when we intend to fight, to achieve our problem’s solution (the top). So, we are afflicted for what caused this problem (the exercises). We must identify what type of pain is the one now,and then take it out fighting against it from the inside out (Hebrews 12: 1 to 15). But beware: no one can climb a topwithout habits and discipline.
When we expect to climb a hill we must ask ourselves, do I have a problem or a challenge in front of me? Are you looking around you, looking for culprits? Are you dispirited to start again?
It is recommended to start again; facing your challenges and confronting the dejection that blocks your exits, blinds your life and donot let you go out to fight. Stop being perfect! We need to make mistakes to learn from our shortcomings and grow. Take off every loadyou have and instead take in God.
Your attitude to the problem is what makes you move forward. You can choose either to leave without fighting and falling away (be careful with this) or to climb your top since you are sure that God is with you.
The word Disciplinecomes from the word disciple, which means that the authority rests with the teacher. If you have a whole domain of your life, you are going to find many setbacks in the way, but if you give that domain to God(Authority), He will fight for you and you will have the victory. You just have to be faithful and convinced that you are coming up to your top even if you do not see the end.
It is important that you:
1. Put your eyes on the top.
2. Do not climbalone.
3. Fix your attention on Jesus.
4. Equip yourself; be prepared (not easy).
Philippians 1:6 (New International Version)
6Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
And remember: “What seems finished to you is just a new beginning for Jesus”.
