HOME SWEET HOME: PUTTING THE FIRE OUT!
When we hear aboutfire the first thing that comes to our minds is the image of flames of fire spread, consuming everything they find. In the family context this picture fits well, so
How many times the fights at home consume everything?
In a moment of anger abad word (or misunderstood word) can untie a whole chaos in our homes, turning it into a living hell.
There will always be good and bad situations at home to face, so we must make each one of them a source of edification and growth. Stop being those who fan the flames of discord; incorporate listening and interpreting what others say, because it is generally something important, but also learn that the most powerful part is not the message we have to say but the way we say it.
Recall that in our tongue we have the power to heal or to destroy, which is why we must be more rational than emotional when talking to others. What does this mean? We must learn to use reason and not emotion when we interact with others, because in this way we will prevent home fires that could harm us all.
Besides, we must consider our priorities, investing our time in God and familyfirst, and then meet the rest. People who place first the wrong things come downwhen the storm hits them since they do not know how to deal with it and end up with nothing.
Do not let routine, distance, or nonsense rules ruin your family and your relationship with God. Heal the wounds inflicted in the past and learn how to forgive others no matter what was the offense committed. Do not forget to work the way you say things, determine what causes conflict at home and trigger far-reaching solutions for you and your family.
